It is quite dense on the nose so it takes some time for the notes of black cherry, spice, truffle and dark plums to reveal themselves. On the palate the wine is silky and elegant, in spite of the richness and the overall impression given by the pure tension and energy in the finish is of a fine thoroughbred horse.
